SOAR closed its doors late in 2002 due to lack of funds. We extend our thanks to those who helped financially and to those who volunteered their time to keep the rescue operating.

It is with deep regret that we inform you of the death of Bridget Hamlin, SOAR's owner, on February 9, 2003 after a brief illness. Bridget loved animals and they loved her. It was a fitting tribute to her that so many animal lovers - those who helped SOAR and those who had adopted companion animals from her rescue - attended her funeral. She will be sadly missed.
